As the festive period approaches, the Activities Team has been busy preparing a festive program to ensure residents’ can celebrate Christmas in the most joyful and creative ways. This year we have embraced the spirit of the season with a series of Christmas craft sessions designed to inspire and engage everyone.
So far this month, residents’ have been involved in a variety of hands-on activities, from making personalised Christmas decorations, baking mince pies to crafting homemade gifts for loved ones. These sessions are more than just an opportunity to craft- they foster creativity , bring people together, and provide a sense of accomplishment. The Activities Team has carefully tailored each session to meet the abilities and interests of residents, ensuring that everyone feels included and has an option to participate.
We were also delighted to welcome a local choir recently for a festive carol performance that brought joy, warmth , and a true sense of Christmas cheer to the residents.
The result is not just a festive environment but also a deeper sense of community and connection within the home as people share stories, laughter and memories.
