We are incredibly proud to celebrate two of our outstanding team members, Amie Elson and Annie Aston, who have been recognised among the Care Show’s prestigious “Thirty Under 30” Class of 2025!
The awards highlight the next generation of leaders from across the UK, who are making a remarkable impact in the care sector — and we’re thrilled to see Hengoed’s dedication to excellence represented on the national stage.
Amie Elson, our compassionate and innovative Care Manager, has been recognised for her exceptional leadership, dedication to person-centred care, and commitment to supporting both residents and staff. Her approach to creating a nurturing, empowering environment embodies everything we stand for at Hengoed.
Annie Aston, our dynamic Lead Activities Coordinator, has also been honoured for her creativity and passion in developing engaging, meaningful activities that enhance residents’ wellbeing and bring joy to every day at Hengoed Park. Her energy and enthusiasm continue to make a lasting difference in our community.
The award ceremony took place at the Care Show on the 8th of October, a truly special day filled with celebration and pride. And in true Hengoed fashion, Amie made sure we got double the spotlight by having to go on stage not once, but twice! (We’re starting to think she might be getting use to the limelight!)
Their fantastic achievement has also been featured in the local newspaper, shining a spotlight on the incredible work being done right here at Hengoed and recognising the dedication of the entire team behind them. We’re delighted to see their success celebrated within our wider community!
